This is not an uncommon problem.
There are a couple things you can try.
1) It's winter and thus a bit dry, a little skin moisturizer on the areas that are likely to get itchy might help.
2) before you listen, give yourself permission to move, adjust, even scratch a little without waking up. Just tell yourself that if you need to move while in trance you will do so without waking up.
